Its "educated" pieces of shite like her that ruin the minds of the black students who actually had a good upbringing and who worked hard enough to go to a good college.

Perry says she was unaware her license was suspended or that there was a warrant out for her arrest.

Definitely someone else's fault.

We already know it IS the standard protocol for people in poor Black, Indigenous, and Latino communities to experience disproportionate police surveillance, harassment, violence, and punishment. That is the graver injustice. I’m asking you to understand that my experience, and my feelings, are directly and intimately tied to that larger truth. We unquestionably have a serious problem with policing in this society.

That's pretty rich.

She was speeding, had a suspended license, and had a warrant for her arrest. I'm just curious as to how she thinks things should have been handled.

2 downvotes for me in the op.
Wonder who could have done that?

Is the fact of your whiteness incidental to this matter? We may never know, but I'm about to organize a march to my refrigerator to get a beer to call attention to your case.

What happened in academics that sexuality became a thing?
Noble professions didn't have the "sex sells" mentality.
Will physics professors start being well groomed alphas wearing Gucci instead of being disheveled betas wearing beat up old blazers with elbow batches

A guy at my office was picked up by police in our building as part of a warrant sweep for unpaid tickets. White guy. No national story. Sigh.

I really want to hear how she thinks policing should be done. I bet her thoughts would be a hilarious read.

I think you're confusing what she teaches with "academics"

I'm guessing there are a lot of doors opened for a Princeton grad.

White people bitching about black people bitching has now topped black people bitching.

Perry on Wednesday also picked up the public support of the African American Studies department at Princeton, which released a letter expressing their "unequivocal support" for Perry.

So, the evidence is overwhelmingly against what she is stating, but she gathers support anyway. Did these idiots even watch the video footage? Did they even see how polite the police officer was to her? Of course not, just another chance to cry racial discrimination.

She thinks she's entitled to be let go because she's driving a nice car in a nice part of town.

She thinks she should be immune to the SOP's of arrest, booking, and bail procedures.

She also thinks that she didn't do anything wrong even though she was pulled over for speeding, driving with a suspended license, and had a warrant for her arrest.
