bullshite
digital downloads can kiss my arse when it comes to consoles.
all they are is a scam to make you pay more for less (lower production costs are supposed to = lower prices but surprise, they dont)and then not even be able to actually own what you bought b/c Sony and Microsoft sure as shite aint gonna be hooking anyone up with backwards compatibility anymore so once they move on to the next system is "lol frick you you have to buy it all again or keep that other system around but when it dies lol frick you, you cant get back what you bought b/c by then we'll have discontinued the servers you'll need to download it all back!"

He's a teacher. He has to worry about these small amounts of money or else he'll never move out of his parents house.

How much does Amazon give you in trade for a digital download game when you're done with it? I got $35 for Madden 15 after 6 months of play.
Meh, the physical disk setup won't be around much longer IMO.
Also, worth it to lose the possibility of trading in a game when I don't have to switch out a disc every time I want to play another game.
And ea access hub is going to eliminate the resale value of all their games. Madden 15 is free on it

I didnt misunderstand, you're still not playing with a big enough multiple
What are we pre-ordering? Cars? What are you pre-ordering that is so expensive to where the interest missed is anything but negligible?
Or is this just one of those I'm better than you because look how smart I think I am threads?

I acknowledge the trade in value of games, but I REALLY like just clicking on tiles to play whatever, whenever. My PS4 has an upgraded 2TB HD. I'll never buy another disc again. And you probably won't even have that option in a few years.

Day one digital downloads have made pre-ordering video games obsolete. The only potential problem is server download speed on day one. On a very popular game it may take a while or the server might crash.
Oddly, while this is happening simultaneously we get a massive increase in unfinished and unplayable games being released.
Never be the first group of people to buy any software.

preordering isn't trashy and it's not always stupid
scarce quantity and/or
high demand
added values for your preorder
in general, there's no reason to do it, but there's a misconception that just poor people, and/or stupid people "preorder". Every income level, every level of sophistication and value (as far as the product is concerned) has something like this
it's an ancient concept, first come, first serve. Want to get something, wait in line. in 1977, if you wanted a star wars figure, you better hope you were the first person there. By Christmas they were selling Star Wars IOUs...because if you didn't jump on it then, there wouldn't be any left for the person to just walk in to the store.
For a mass produced product like a video game, supply and demand isn't the issue, but tell that to people who didn't want to wait for 3 days in their town before playing GTAV. They add value. More often than not that value is week. Sometimes there is the added value of the excitement of purchasing something you're waiting so long for

Most of the time when you pre-order now, you don't get charged until the item is ready for shipping. Sometimes all you have to do is put a small deposit down. For this, you use a cc and let your cash compound that interest. You sir, only know how to do one of these things correctly.

Preorder your watch now.
You could likely resell one of those things on ebay/craigslist and make more than 1000x the interest you could have earned on the pre-order payment.
