quote:

Pope Francis has warned the world's 1.2 billion Roman Catholics not to be "intoxicated" by possessions in his annual Christmas homily. He called for more sobriety in a world obsessed by "consumerism and hedonism, wealth and extravagance". The Pope was celebrating a Christmas eve Mass in St Peter's Basilica in front of about 10,000 people. Later on Friday he will deliver his traditional Christmas message from the central balcony of St Peter's Square. Celebrating Mass, the Pope said Christmas was the time to "once more discover who we are".

Yet they won't allow you to take pictures inside the Sistine Chapel because it would take away from their sales.

Coming from the head of the richest organization in the world, I find that laughable.

Pretty hilarious coming from an organization that charged $500,000 per sainthood.

The Catholics are just like A&M. They have the biggest sense of entitlement due to their enormous and unending amount of fortune but still can't seem to ever win.

frick the pope. I agree with denouncing our unrestrained consumerism and materialism, but coming from the Catholic Church, the message is empty.
