I think you really mean well, but are showing a bit of naivety. Officers are trained to see both hands. There’s been countless of officers shot because they gave the guy the benefit of the doubt as he held up one hand and had the other on a handgun on the side of the seat. I’m good with the guy pulling his weapon before seeing both hands, and going home to his family at night.
You can be Dirty Harry, but if that dude only has to pull his hand across with a loaded firearm, you’re never going to get that Glock unholstered quick enough. The officer would have never needed to pull his weapon had GF simply shown both hands. There’s some questionable shite in the entire situation, but nothing in that video indicates the officers acted inappropriately in any way.
I’ve actually been in similar situations a number of times. That same guy crying and pleading with you will kill you in a heartbeat to not go to jail. Often, they’re jacked up on so many combinations of badly-cut & mixed drugs and aren’t thinking rationally.
