Does anyone know of a way to find the date a pocket watch was made? The brand is Waltham and I have a serial number. It was my great great grandfathers and was passed down to me. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes I'm capable of googling but am unsure if websites are accurate. I was looking for suggestions that people may have had success with.

Well? When you clicked on the link, put in the number and brand, what did it say?

Did it recognize your watch? Did it give you a date? A value?

What a silly question. The OT is infallible.

I don't believe the OP ever said he wanted to sell it. He just wanted to know its age.

This seems to be the perfect example of a thread that did not need to be started, then left unattended and then abandoned by the OP.

How old is your fricking pocket watch?

This is why I do not start mindless threads.

Post a pic of it. If possible the movement also and a closeup of the dial and any engraving on the back.
