Yet what ya'll never seem to understand is that just giving us a sincere, audible answer will save us so much frustration. This in itself is very pleasing even if we do not get the result we are looking for and will help both parties.

The same could be said about men not trying to solve women's problems vs just listening to them. Neither is right or wrong, they are just different.

But not too much kindness, lest you be lumped in as a "nice guy" and find yourself in the friend zone or taken advantage of.

Sense of humor

Works well for a while, and women will usually fall in love with you for having a great sense of humor. Until one day, they grow sick of your shtick. Then you start to hear comments like "why does everything have to be a joke with you?" or "Can't you take anything seriously?"

Security

until they accuse you of being a brute or overprotective.

Compliments

This one is tricky. Too much and they become complacent. Too little and they'll badger you endlessly about finding them attractive.

Love for life

Can't be too optimistic though. That'll send them into an emotional tail spin.

It will definitely be on her. Unfortunately most women are like this. Good luck finding the 1% that aren't crazy people.

Why would I ever want to hear about a problem and not try to come up with a solution? That's crazy.

Changes over time. Security is probably number one, but not sure most ever find security. Women have been brainwashed by the media to covet and be jealous of what other women have no matter their place in life.

Men are also becoming more like women.

This
Most women have this but they create their own drama for some crazy arse reason. Mostly because of outside influences aka miserable friends.

"Don't try to understand women. The only people who understand women are other women, and they all fricking hate each other." - Best quote on the subject I ever read.

Men are problem solvers. We identify a problem and solve it as quickly and efficiently as possible. If women pretend there's not a problem or try to make it into a guessing game, that's not going to work for us.
As a corollary to this:

The vast majority of women multi-task so well that it is difficult to get their full attention. Dick can do it, wine can do it, but those are temporary. Without their full attention a single man can't solve all their concerns.

Case in point:
The average man at work when he is truly focused at work forgets he even has a wife of kids or parents, a house, a dog, cancer, whatever, everything other than the single task.

The average woman at work and engaged in her work is still aware of her kid's impending orthodontics appointment and that there's a different shade of green that she wants (someone) to paint the shutters and the lipstick tube in her purse is almost finished....

Martians =/= Venusians

Nothing makes them (or men) happy in the long-term. True happiness comes from within and many people simply do not have that.

tl;dr - until/unless she's happy already, you're wasting your time (and hers).
