If you're a millionaire, you can just go out and buy stuff or take a vacation whenever you want. Or go date someone better looking than you. Or you can go for a ride in your luxury car. I just don't get how rich people get depressed. Try living in a normal persons shoes where you barely get by.

Some people just have mental issues. It happens to them whether they're rich or poor, famous or unknown.

If your such a "normal person" stop fricking crying about celebrities
Us normals don't worry about celebrities at 3am

They probably had issues before getting rich and famous. I can see someone thinking that getting rich and famous will make it all go away, but when getting rich and famous doesn't make it go away, the issues get worse.

As great as that is money can't buy away your inner demons or emotions. People just deal with struggles differently, in mindsets like that people aren't necessarily looking at the good parts of life.

Money doesn't buy happiness. But it is much easier to cry in a Lamborghini

Chemical imbalance in their brain, past trauma, deep rooted psychological issues

If I had a mansion, pool, cars, gardens, hot wife, friends galore, and only had to work once in awhile.....I think depression wouldn't be an issue. I would fly to an island if i got sad, and pray to God for help.

They sometimes don't get as many likes on their Instagram posts, life sucks.

Money doesn't create happiness. Whacked out people will act crazy regardless of how much money they have. I think a lot of times it makes them act worse. Look at people like Miley Cyrus. Crazy crazy. I get more bothered by the ones that "preach" political views like Decaprio, Gore, whoopie, beyhar, Obama etc. take stands about paying more taxes, turning up my thermostat, driving a small / electric car, etc. The whole while they are flying around the world in private jets taking lavish vacations. That's the real whackos. It's easy to say pay more taxes when you make millions.

The comedown is rough. Make sure you hydrate or Pedialyte and always lay down a bread base.

It is hard to understand but money and fame are not fail safe extinguishers of depression, anxiety, and addiction, all of which are serious mental issues that are sometimes lifelong battles.
Fame can also be an inhibitor in that it can bring layers of complications and insincerity that can separate one from what is real and sincere. If one is grounded and free of certain issues such as depression, anxiety, and addiction, then it can be easy to navigate fame.
Chris Cornell, for example, was a creative, brilliant, and talented person. He was also a loner who struggled with anxiety, depression, and addiction from a very young age, before he was famous or rich. He continued to battle these issues off and on throughout his life. Money and fame may bring someone fun times, different experiences, financial security, etc. Yet they cannot resolve issues that someone may struggle with such as emotions, ability to form steady and substantive relationships with others.

Depression isn't cured by fancy things and you certainly don't feel like doing "fun" things when you have it. It's chemical and it doesn't care if your rich.

If anything this should be that people have no idea how severe mental illness can be. He was a rock star with a basically unilimited budget. It's obvious that money does not solve everything, I have some rash feelings about suicide but I feel for anyone that feels it's their only option. It's just another side effect of our country not funneling enough money into the mental health area

everything is a level of scale. If you make millions then that's just what you make. It becomes normal the same way making 60k becomes normal. Same with taking vacations, jets, buying houses...whatever. If you're not happy, you're not happy. Plus at that level of scale there's just different things to not be happy about. "Aw, I bought a new car and it didn't excite me. So now I'm depressed about that."
Adult brains are fricking weird man.

I also think that people don't fully understand depression and start shitty threads about it and what [they] don't have in their own life.
Depression is crippling. I agree, mental health should be invested in much, much more than it is. It's hard to say why one creates a final act.
I've fallen on hard times before but always had a strong will to push through it and know that there is an ending to whatever tunnel I was in at that time. It was extremely difficult and often at times I would think about my own demise. And thats where "mental health" kicks in. Knowing that you're thinking bad thoughts and knowing that they are just that, "thoughts."
I had a strong feeling about people who commit suicide, I thought that they were 100% pussies. But after experiencing what I have experienced, I was 100% wrong in my judgemental viewpoint.
I'll end with this. If any of your friends, family or anyone you know is going through a difficult time, call them. Reach out to them even if its just to shoot the proverbial bullshite. A simple phone call shows that you care. And it can make all the difference in the world.

Unhappiness and depression are two different things. The latter is not so easily remedied.

They get rich, and quit doing legs.
When you quit doing legs, it all falls apart.

So you are under the impression that material things can bring you lasting happiness, joy and peace?
