Back in the late 80s there was a dive bar in Breaux Bridge the we got in to a bar fight. Other than Prejeans going down hill that’s all I got.

I would consider Duffy's Diner in New Iberia for a 50s-like diner experience.

There are some great soul food restaurants there too but the neighborhoods are sketch. Great food though.

We went to Social Southern and it was so good! Want to go back soon.
Bon Temps for brunch, food was pretty good and they had live music.
Stopped at Hebert's in Breaux Bridge, their crawfish pies are best I've ever had.
Went to Scott to hit Billy's, Best Stop and Don's for stuff to take home.
Couldn't have asked for a prettier day at Avery Island, lovely grounds.

Since you'll be in Iberia parish when you go to Avery Island, Bon Creole for a po-boy.
