Wife had her planter surgery done by podiatric surgeon, no issues. Daughter also had a foot surgery by a podicatric surgeon, no issues. FWIW, both worked in an office wit orthopedic surgeons.

I think either should help you out.

An ortho should refer you to a good physical therapist that they more know more well than a podiatrist possibly. Of course that depends if you need pt or not

Prayers bro. I dealt with that crap for two years in both feet. I walked my way out of it, one painful step at a time. The only thing I did was salt soaks, stretching and inserts. One side healed much faster than the other .

I'm a podiatrist. Both a podiatrist and a foot and ankle orthopod should be able to take care of that for you.

I wouldn't go to a general orthopedist though.

Eta: I say that because a general ortho is less likely to do a thorough biomechanical assessment of your foot and recommended the proper support to prevent it from recurring

My wife had an excellent result with a podiatrist. Went from every step hurting to playing unlimited tennis in less than 2 months.

Stretch

I got it from running to much, 60 days no running, lots of stretching and insole support. I still stretch a lot and it helps.

Either one that is board certified in foot/ankle surgery is more than qualified on paper to treat that condition.

I've had it since September, too much hiit training and mountain hiking. Can't seem to shake it. Low impact exercises and KT tape with inserts helps some. Keep saying I will go to the podiatrist but afraid he will shut me down. Yeah I'm one of those guys.

New Balance shoes and inserts, takes awhile but worked for me. Good luck I know it is painful.

I had plantar growth years ago and I went to Walgreens and bought a box of those plantar pads that dissolve the growth in a few weeks.

It worked for me and it never returned.

I went to a foot doctor with mine last week. I have a severe case. Totally miserable.

Go see Dr. Chris Hall.

Cortisone shot, tape it up well, wear a boot at night. He will do all three.

Go to Varsity Sports and tell them you need shoes from "Hall's Wall."

I wear the Brooks Beast.

do you have to have surgery? There are other ways to get over it and it probably means you need some shoe inserts.
