You are so right. Place has fried chicken, fried fish, French fries and if you go in there expect to smell like fried food all day long. Sometimes I avoid that place on purpose just because of that. If I do go in there, my wife can always tell as she can smell it on me.

It isn't a restaurant but when I make my gumbo the entire house smells of it for days. The roux is the main culprit. I have to make sure all laundry is folded and put away, anything left out soaks up the smell and has to be rewashed.

Didn't take long for the smell to permeate the new locale, did it?

You wanna know stench...

You know the check cashing place on Perkins near College, well obviously was a Fast Track back in the day. When 19 was 17, and he was stuck in that shoebox the summer of '89 with 10 people during the hottest part of the day...the grease would coat you like a body condom in minutes, and the BO from everyone sweating like pigs made for a miserable experience.

I had to shower twice, wash my clothes twice. After a month Mom refused to put my work clothes in her washer and dryer because of the grease and stink. I had to leave clothes at Kean's next door after every shift.

Dat Big O, doe

eta: never could get the smell out of my car, either - and my folks lived in South Downs back then, too.

George's on George O'Neal....The place is nasty and the constant putrid smell of stale grease permeates your skin & clothing.

Mason's Grill men's room...Even with the new toilets that actually flush, it always smells musky & moldy in there. The inside of Mason's smells like 1979.

Any Mexican restaurant. Those places stick with you so badly that I can't wear a jacket or anything that can't be washed to a Mexican restaurant.
