Wait until she's old enough to decide on her own, or do it as an infant? Will a pediatrician do it here?

Let her decide on her own, please. I cringe when I see a baby or even young child with pierced ears.

I totally get that. What made me consider doing it now was that she had blood drawn from her foot today. She was nursing at the time and didn't even flinch. Seemed like she may not even notice it if done now.

I don't have kids but as an infant makes the parents look trashy.

I've already got her back tat of the family crest planned, just trying to decide how much of it should show above her 2 piece hoochie team cheerleading outfit. Just don't want the ear ice to distract from her lipstick when she hits up kindy-garden.

I just don't see the big deal about earrings. A lot of kids get them early, like when they are infants.
