I was recently diagnosed with ulnar nerve subluxation/cubital tunnel syndrome at the elbow. The physician at the Bone and Joint Clinic said that there is pretty much nothing I can do for this condition other than undergo surgery (which he does not recommend at my age and admits is not a sure thing).

However, I am too damn stubborn to sit idle and deal with this pain which both causes constant discomfort and limits my daily activities.

Has anyone dealt with similar elbow pain and undergone physical therapy? If so, how was your experience and where did you go?

Thank you in advance.

only recommendation I'd have is don't do Surgery Specialty Center's group. I'd find out where Lance Lemoine is and go to him, but I am pretty sure he does home health now.

never had to deal with your issue, but i did have shoulder reconstruction in '06 and while i was at LSU, i went to Peak Performance Physical Therapy in BR. i think my therapist's name was Jason?

it certainly wasn't fun but they did a good job rehabbing my shoulder

I don't get it either, it's not like you take a sugar pill of knee exercises and go about your day.

Yea, he got trolled by his wife. Or he's a lobbyist for the chiropractors association.

I think what his wife meant was that most of the care will be palliative and help with pain control and not necessarily to "fix" the issue.

PT could definitely help, but it does not in some cases too.

Definitely worth a shot if surgery is off the table.

If you work anywhere near downtown, I highly recommend Downtown Physical Rehab. Geoff has done wonders for my back.

My wife is certified in myofascial release, dry needling, etc. I've had it all done most of it is palliative and due to BBA and SGR most patients reach their cap prior to actual realization of benefits of PT.

Well myofascial release and dry needling aren't simply palliative care procedures so again I think your wife is trolling you.
