They won't have to tip off the news. The Sterling family is going to get a six hour notice prior to the official announcement. It will leak with the quickness

Correct. And why would the police want to give the protesters an extra day to get to town to cause a ruckus at the presser. Local law enforcement will be out front on this one.

Why exactly does everybody believe all these rumors about the DOJ "verdict" and resulting riots/protests? Whatever the DOJ says isn't the end of anything, that won't happen until the LA AG makes his final decision.

I was told today that its happening tomm. My source has been consistent since he was notified last week.

I wish they would let the rumors swirl and not announce tomm just to throw the out of towners off their game. frick those people that just come to our city to tear it up and start shite.

Why does Cedric Richmond think the community needs to be informed about a decision? To be perfectly honest it ain't none of the communitys fricking business. It's the family's decision if they want to share this information.

How else are they gonna know when to riot? If it isn't a grandstand thing their masters can't tell them how to think in mob form.

Why the frick don't they just spring the announcement on the public out of the blue? Don't give people the chance to organize and get pissed off and anxious for a few days before. You know somebody's going to act stupid. Don't let them plan the shite in advance.

A coworker had a nephew that had been staying at her house. He is from another part of the state and he is national guard. He has been activated since Wednesday of last week. My coworker does not live in EBR and they made him start staying in EBR this past weekend. Why would the guard be activated if the announcement was not coming?

Because Louisiana State Police has some loose arse lips. When area Law Enforcement agencies were notified / put on standby / vacation canceled, my phone blew up. People asking what my involvement would be, prayers, and general being nosey because they heard from a "trooper" it was going down next week (current week).

Does the Department of Justice realize how much just their not squashing any rumors t how they have created a lot of unnecessary anxiety in this city as well as costing people time and money?

Several schools I know have hired extra security, offices downtown are closing, etc...

This is fricking ridiculous.

I also have a friend who works at private school in Baton Rouge. I asked him on Friday if they had heard anything because they have children of influential people at their school. They received an email that day from their superior. One of the statements in the email told them to keep their cars full of gas in case they have to leave Baton Rouge.

I didn't realize until today that this impending announcement was actually already affecting normal operations (businesses, schools, etc.) If it's NOT going to happen tomorrow, then it's extremely irresponsible to not clarify right away.

The AG's decision depends on the results of the DOJ investigation, due to be released whenever.

The school my kids go to have adjusted field trips. I would think this "rumor" has impacted Baton Rouge financially already.

Honestly I hope that people act like True Americans and don't act like savages when the announcement is made. It's sad to say but if Alton was a white guy named Allen with the same record doing the same shite it would be a non issue.
