This weekend I went to a small party and there was this one person who transparently wanted the attention on them. This wasn't the first time I have been around this person and each time they were the same way.

Every Time they arrive they have to do something as if to say "here I am everybody" and if everything is chill they will go to each group of people as if they are looking for a spot to be center of attention.

Do people like this realize they are being obnoxious? Or are they willing to get attention at all cost? And why is it frowned upon when someone ask them "are you really that hard up for attention?" although everyone feels the same way about them?

So you went somewhere and you weren't getting the attention you do desperately crave and someone else was the life of the party and now you're butt hurt over it?

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say that this thread is not going the way you had hoped...

No it is. He doesn't care if we are talking bad about him as long as it's about him.

Exactly. He specifically started this thread in order to draw attention to himself because we all know he didn't go to any parties this weekend

But seriously, I am not talking about someone who might come off this way to some people.. I am talking about someone who can be somewhere, where everyone is having a good time... And instead of just going with the pace of the environment, they take it to a whole different level. To the point where everyone just rolls their eyes every time this person tries to suck the energy of the party onto them.

If this isn't the prime example of pot meet kettle, nothing is. You're the biggest attention whore around.

I knew there would be comments from people who give all to the attention to people they claim wants attention. Its pretty much expected, but I figured there would be a few people who has shared the same experience.. And not just your average attention seeker, I am talking about someone who goes above and beyond.
