So you are just angry in general? Chill Steve. It's all good.

No.

It has to do with the chemicals that get released in the brain and how it affects its normal function.

I'm no neuroscientist though, so I won't bother trying to pretend like I know all the details. Something about serotonin, I think?

Alcohol in the short term can boost our serotonin but in the long term excess can actually lower these levels. Excess alcohol can cause or exacerbate depression, it interferes with the amino acid tryptophan which the body needs to produce the mood enhancing chemical called serotonin.

That's from Google.

Also, y'all all sound like miserable people to have a good time with.

Mental illness, daddy issues, low self esteem. Take your pick. If you can't be happy when drinking you are messed up.

Alcohol is a depressant and and induces a short term release of your inhibitions allowing true emotional feelings to emerge.. Anger usually coincides with a certain agitation in ones life. Those who cry are usually emotionally a wreck anyways and are allowing the depressive side effects to kick in early..

I've always wondered about those kind of people. Why does it happen.

Nobody I know is like that. Did have a few older men in the family who used to be like that. Everyone knew to stay away from them if they were drinking.

Figured out in college that whiskey makes me a complete a-hole. If I were to have five vodka drinks, I'd be drunk, but fine. Five whiskey drinks? I'm fine, until my last drink, then turn into a completely different person.

Means they don't know how to relax and have a good time. Maybe they should try other ways to escape the pressures of life instead of going to alcohol?

Yes. The consequences of excessive alcohol consumption are far worse than smoking marijuana.

The underlying issue is the overwhelming hypocrisy of the government, corporations, and alcohol advocates who perpetuate such lies about their drug and the dull citizenry who is unable to obtain any sort of enlightenment on the matter.

I've always thought that anyone who personality changes for the worse when they drink has got a problem.

IMO,being more talkative, happier, are normal reactions to alcohol.

Getting angry is not a normal reaction. It's a bad reaction.Especially for the people that have to deal with the angry drunk.

It's bull shite. A distorted version of you shows when you are drunk. It is totally ridiculous on the face of it to think that an impaired you that can't think ideas through to their full capacity is the true you.

Uh oh, how many weiners did you touch when you got too drunk that one time?

Kidding. I hope drunk me is not the real me. Way too happy and stupid.

The problem that I have with that idea is that our inhibitions are part of us. We all have thoughts and desires that we know are wrong/not good for us, and we are often able to suppress them. Why is that ability not part of our true colors too?
