My Father-in-law cheats at penny ante poker.

Also, frick anyone who cheats at Trivia Crack. I'm sure that at least half of my losses are to these people.

Because Americans love to fight. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, the big-league ball players and the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. That's why Americans have never lost and will never lose a war. The very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.

You, sir, deserve a participation ribbon for your efforts.

I have known several folks that replace lost balls in golf with no penalty, pretending to find their ball

Because losing a stroke plus distance in golf for out of bounds is a ridiculous rule. The pros rarely have true out of bounds markers anyway. It should be a point of entry drop, just like a water hazard. I will never understand why it isn't. Sometimes my group won't even take the distance penalty if its agreed on beforehand because some courses have really stupid OB lines.

FWIW, many pros agree.
