The 90's sucked. With any luck America will never see crime rates like that again. People bitch about random violence now but the mid 90's were a fricking warzone in BR and NOLA

I guess since there was so much serious shite going on, people seemed more willing to just have fun. The world was scary but, for some reason, we weren't scared.

And MTV still played music.

was also about the time The Real World started on there. I never watched (too young to care) but I think that show could have been one of the main spring boards into the type of bullshite they air currently.

its crazy.. I watched shows on Nickelodeon all the time but stopped on dime and switched to MTV when I discovered Beavis and Butthead. It felt like I was the only one of my friends who watched that show.. at least one of the few who was allowed to watch it.

I remember it wasn't all that popular with parents but little did they know.. a show would top that one and then some later on in the 90's.

South Park!

edit: I watched The State on MTV also but I didn't always get their humor... but for some reason I kept watching.

The 90s were a blast. Things were still exciting and everything felt like it hadn't been seen or said yet.

Didn't feel "recycled".

America was still riding high from the Reagan years. And lots & lots of cocaine.

I first got the internet when i was a freshman in highschool. It was amazing to me. ICQ and AOLIM were the best ways to pull girls from other schools in the near by towns. I was a Q-balla. Ill never forget that message notification sound "uhhohh"

One of my friends from college is playing the Baliff. I'm looking forward to reliving the craziness of it all.

I agree, growing up in the 90's was a great experience. I remember the older kids (think HS seniors) in my neighborhood and thought they had it best....childhood in the late 80's/early 90's and being a HS senior around 92-95 had to be just plain awesome.

We were in the Reagan years in the 80's. Pre Internet and cell phones. You could hang out without your parents calling every 5 minutes.

Music was varied and awesome in all its forms. The 90's and grunge destroyed that. Movies were fun and still legendary.

I could go on but growing up in the 80's... Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Aw man, the internet was so much better circa 1997-2002 or so. Chat rooms were new and awesome.

AOL IM, ICQ, yahoo messenger, etc.

Seeing naked boobs or butts on webcam for the first time and/or cybering for the first time. Eye opening experiences!
