Are you leaving responsibilities behind and someone else is footing your vacation bill? Or, are you coming back from your vacation to uncertainty that could leave dependents with an uncertain and possibly unstable future? If not, then you have nothing to worry about. You can take vacation as you wish.
Even if you answer yes to some of those questions, you may "deserve" a vacation. Like if you have medical issues from work stress. Or a kid passes away and you need a life break.
Not even saying you have to deserve a vacation to take one. You just may be judged for it.
