By this statement are you implying a certain shallowness and materialism in women that would make them overlook faults in a prospective mate just because he has a lot of money?

If you are lonely then get married. If you find solitude peaceful then go with that. My twenties were drama-filled and I was a bad person associating with bad people. I wasted a lot of time on the wrong women and never got married but hated the nights alone. I fixed myself and things fell in place. Two halves make one and two wholes make a couple so don't look for someone to "complete you"

Dude, you talk to your wife on an Internet sports forum.

So? I talk to her through text, Facebook, phone....

If it's any consolation, she's given up this board. She posted a few months back but hasn't in a while.

I knew I would never get married since I was a teenager. I was 19 when I realized I would never amount to anything. It takes a lot of pressure off me.

Going to brunch and getting railed by some dude they met at a hotel bar sounds meaningful as frick.

I'm 38 and got married two months ago. Met her by chance. Wasn't looking but something clicked. Never been happier.

Eventually the dating pool is thinned out and some people don't care to do a huge age difference.

After my wife of 9 years cheated on me and filed for divorce...emotionally and financially cleaning me out. That was 20 years ago. Took me 7 years working 65+ hour weeks to dig out of that hole. I'm fine financially now but I'll NEVER trust another woman. Marriage is a lose/lose proposition for the male.

I'm about to turn 24 and I'm obviously not married. I am also single too. I know I'm still really young, but it's pretty funny how all my friends are either the same age or are younger than me, and pretty much all of them are married at this point. It's weird being one of the only people in my group who's not married/engaged/in a relationship/etc., but regardless I'm happy being single and I accept life as it comes to me. I don't really care what other people think. If I meet the right woman, awesome. Eventually it may come, maybe it won't, but that's what life is all about. Taking life as it comes to you.

My deceased grandpa finally married at age 56. Had 4 kids. My grandmother was in her 30's when they married. Of course this was back in the 1930's.

My early 30s have been incredible as a single man. I have zero desire to get married.
