Roger that. Physiologist here. Rapid decompression lasted very short amount of time. No damage to body physio.wise unless you hold your breath.not as dramatic as most think.

A girl that was only about 14 survived a plane that fell apart at 30k ft over the Amazon. She said she woke up outside the plane still strapped in. Passed out and woke up in her seat in the jungle. Think she had a broken bone or two and hiked out. Finally found civilization like 10 days later. No big deal. I'll have to find a link.

One of the pilots of the Virgin Galactic Spaceship II that exploded at 45,000 feet survived, his chute opened automatically and he regained consciousness at around 18,000 ft.
