Parents, what do you do?

Kids asleep in car and wife asks you to buy milk.

Wake them up to buy milk
Go home without milk
Lock them in car and buy milk
Other?

I lock them in car and buy milk but I'm more scared about someone reporting me then something bad happening to them.
Thoughts from parents only please

I wouldn't have texted her in the first place.
Plus, she's just being bitchy because the Dad got to have fun while she stayed at home doing laundry all day.

But in reality, all she did was fold a few towels, stayed on Facebook half the day and watched Hallmark movies the other half.

You're running in for milk. You'll be 5 minutes. Leave the car running and them buckled in, lock the doors, and get the milk.

I mean sheesh, is this where we are as a country? It's amazing kids grow up without needing their mommies to hold their dicks when they pee.

We used to ride in backs of station wagons and it was AWESOME .

I feel sorry for these little overprotected little snots.

I've actually wondered the same while watching this commercial. So I think the answer is, kids look old enough that you could leave them asleep in car and go get it? That'd be my answer. I had the thought, they made the kids juuuuust old enough.

Thank goodness for tinted windows. Bc when it's raining outside and I need to go inside for 90 seconds and can see my car the whole time? They're staying in the dry car.

The reason I ask the question is because you might run across a helicopter parent who calls the police.

Leave kids and stop at a gas station to buy milk. Takes less than 2 minutes and you can see your car the entire time. Idk why this is a question

Agreed. As a parent, I worry less about something happening to them locked into a car with the alarm set than I worry about some a-hole calling the cops because God forbid my kids be alone in a (gasp!) vehicle for 2 minutes.

The way I see it, your car is like part of your house. I leave my kids alone downstairs while I shower all the time. No one is traumatized. If it's a comfortable temp outside, they aren't in the sun, and I'm gone less than 5 mins, I don't see the problem. But in many places, the law doesn't agree.

The one time it was almost an issue was an older woman, probably hadn't been a parent of littles in 30 years. She was walking in my neighborhood, started eyeing my car bc I'd put kids in car in my driveway, then went back in house for something. I gave her the evil eye as I came back outside. Don't be looking at my kids, bitch.

Do you lock doors, I assume? How do you re-enter? Second key or use the valet key inside remote? Tempted to do that but worried it won't work and I'll have to call someone to unlock and possibly attract helicopters & po-po.

Knock on the window and wake the kids up to unlock the doors....or use the button pad on my door to unlock it.

Sit in car and send kid inside to get milk. Teach him responsibility
