they're pretty terrible, but it's not my kid. (THANK GOD)

not as bad as parents who make their kids wear sweats underneath their superawesome jasmine costume for halloween because october in Illinois is too cold for a jasmine costume.

We get it man, you like to see boys naked.

Just please don’t act on it.

A thread about parents being overprotective turned into a bunch of comments about naked little boys.

One poster in this thread was triggered bigly, so I understand that he's not thinking straight. For everyone else though, if that's where your mind went, that's on you, not me.

Classic deflection.

It’s okay, man. Does NAMBLA have a hotline you can call to vent?

.. this is about sun-protective closing
which is about 20 times more effective and easier to manage than sunscreen.

I also make mine buckle up and dont let them smoke more than 1 pack a day.

How is this overprotective again?

It comes off as another way that parents are pussifying their children.

It's sunlight. Put on sunscreen.

Why subject them to sunscreen either? I mean who needs it? I never wore sunscreen as a kid.

Is this how it's done?

You get a large amount of your lifetime sun exposure during childhood, and sunscreen is a bitch to put on a squirming kid.

Seems smart to me.

When it’s sunscreen, it’s fine, but a sun shirt that does the same thing is too far.

Guess Pecker just likes doing things the inefficient way. Must be why he can't get his girl off quickly.

You keep saying I'm triggered but have yet to address why you want kids to wear less clothes.

It seems excessive.

Unless your kid has a medical condition (like a real one) or he's a ginger (this is why HempHead gets a pass - and because he's a top 10 poster), there's no reason sunscreen won't do the trick.

This.

number of moles I had when born : probably less than 5 if that

number of moles I had by 10: probably 100

number of moles I have at age 30: probably 200 and my dermatologist loves me

So, yeah, if you got super cracker genes, this isn't a bad idea.

Another pedo comment. I find this strange but if that's what a thread about long-sleeve swimwear made you think of then ok.

Sometimes my kids wear long sleeve UV shirts to the beach, but we are usually at the beach every other week year round. Not only is it more protective than sunscreen, its also easier on parents because we don't have to constantly reapply all day. On the other hand, I don't make my kids wear helmets when riding bikes, so WTF do I know.

I would thing having to reapply sunscreen throughout the day seems excessive.

There are a lot of inefficient ways to do things that will still get the job done.

To be fair, there's no such thing as waterproof and sweatproof sunscreen regardless of what the marketing tell us. They ALL wear off pretty quickly if the kid is swimming.

I wish they made a mask, in addition to the long sleeve shirt and pants so I never have to apply sunscreen again. All of my children would be wearing it like they were some sun protected jihadists.

Applying sunscreen to kids 8 and under sucks.

I know, it's like who wants to be in the water with no shirt on?

Again, no need to remind us that you don't have children. Shirt is a simply solution to a major problem. Kids like them. Easy on parents.
