Wow! bet there were some upset lawyers on this one.
heres the link My guess is they got a nice settlement under the table. RIP in peace little boy. Makes you wonder sometimes why lawyers are even needed. I mean half of what they would have got would have gone to the lawyers.

I'm 100% certain that Disney has taken care of this family.

Well the only time I said I hope they sue the shite out of WDW and they don't

Maybe Disney already cut them a large check?

The parents’ joint statement did not say if they received any settlement cash from Disney, and did not cite a specific reason for declining legal action. The parents and Disney reps could not immediately be reached.

I'd probably do the same, honestly

Because they would be asked over and over again if they didn't.

I'm sure the last thing this family wants is a long, drawn out lawsuit. Surely they were taken care of.

Disney is pretty good about stuff like this. If someone gets injured on property, they typically go out of their way to make someone feel comfortable. I imagine they were more than generous in helping out the family with this tragedy.

The way some people on the OT worship that place, I think they would settle out of court for lifetime Fast Passes (or whatever those things are called) and a three day stay in a Suite.

I believe they (Disney) made a business decision based partially on what the bad PR of a drawn-out negotiation or civil trial would have cost them.

Kudos to the boy's family, they didn't want this process to go longer for emotional reasons.

I'd guess mid to high-seven figures possibly up to $10 mil or so.
