It’s grade school. You miss the baby years but they really seem to level off when they go to kindergarten.
4 has been tough with this last one. With the others they leveled off earlier. Kids are all different

It sucks but it takes the ability to truly empathize. They are little humans with emotions and pain without the ability to express what they feel or need. It’s just as frustrating for them.
I tried to identify what my son was feeling and why then verbalize it back to him. You’re teeth hurt and it’s getting you mad. You’re frustrated bc you want to do X and can’t yet. Etc.
Didn’t make it go away but did help me to be more patient and it helped a lot by the time he was 2 bc he was able to express those things better verbally than many his age.

Even 2 is so much better than 1. They want more independence, but at least they can communicate it to you. Hearing my son sing the ABCs and get every letter, seeing his excitement over little things like airplanes and the letter T, and being able to talk to me in full sentences makes it all so much more rewarding. Hang in there.

I’d suggest watching The Omen. You’ve got a live wire! Good luck!

20-23. When their completely off your payroll and your give-a-frick is broken.

I know it sounds nuts right now but cherish these moments. It flies by and my man will be 5 before you know it.
Cherish when they are that young, it goes by so fast.

Around 3.5 for our two older ones.
We have a 1 year old now.
As far as the sickness goes I don’t know what to tell you. We’ve been constantly sick for 6 years running. It absolutely sucks as two working parents.

Maybe I am lucky but my kids have been good. I give all the credit to Momma. She is a badass. 4.5 year old is wild and all boy but was a great baby. 3 month old is sleeping through the night and cute as can be.

Uh... not before 4.5 years old.

13-15 is pretty easy.
Just wait

I can't speak for yours, but our first leveled out around a year. 12ish months she was waking up once. 18 months until now (30ish) she sleeps through the night barring the random 2am wakeup from a bad dream.
That said we have friends that haven't been as fortunate. Just from my POV they aren't as strict on schedule. We established a very rigid schedule early on and stuck with it. It sucked early but has paid off.

None of my boys talked until they were nearly two or shortly after, but until then it was just strings of nonsensical jabbering with the occasional purposeful word thrown in there.

This is the easy part. Wait till they’re 12 and you suddenly become the dumbest person on the planet.
12-19 is hell. About the time they start paying their own bills you suddenly become smart again.

I have a 3.5 year old now, and it’s way worse than ever. Good luck.

My 18 month old has become a master of nut kicks. I love her to death, but she’s kicking to kill every time.
