probably not that much, a normal sized red bull (8.4 oz) only has 77 mg of caffeine

That really is it? Always thought they had way more than that. Adds up when you have about 12 though

Caffeine is present in tea, chocolate, and soda as well.

Are you telling me this guy is:

1. Frequenting fast food or casual fast foods chains

2. Doesn't know soda and tea also caffeine?

He either knows enough to be trusted to walk to a beverage dispenser and dispense a drink WITHOUT supervision, or he doesn't.

Panera Bread has a caffeinated green tea and sodas, and coffee.

Why was he being trusted to frequent an subscription based unlimited refill bar with TONS of caffeinated options?

none of that has 400mg/serving, which is a very large serving, and he had 3 of them, should he have been less retarded in your opinion?

In it, Brown's family claims he did not know the drinks contained caffeine and had been consuming them consistently in the six days leading up to his death.

I find it amazing that people drink sugary drinks consistently.

Well that's a fricking lie...

What inspired Panera to even create this product?

Panera isn't hiding what these drinks are. Again, the guy chose the largest size and the drink flavor with the most caffeine, and in order to have consumed the amount of caffeine they allege he consumed he would have had to use no ice in his drink (stated caffeine amounts in a given drink are without ice). His family says he avoided drinks with a lot of caffeine. Given his decision, that doesn't appear to be the case.

The other girl's family had a similar story. She was supposedly "very diligent with her diet choices" because she was "susceptible to large amounts of caffeine" due to a health issue.

Do you read the labels on every drink you consume? Is it that unreasonable to get lemonade, assume it doesn’t have caffeine, and fill up a cup without reading the label? I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard of another brand of lemonade containing caffeine before

Having caffiene and being a functional equivalent of red bull aren't the same thing, especially when there's apparently a program for unlimited refills with a large cup.

I just don't think many people are looking for 400 mg of caffeine in a sitting, but that's just me.

And I think people who claim to be diligently watching what they consume because it is literally a threat to their life should probably have a little more personal accountability. Neither of the two people in question regarding this drink had that, but that's just me.
