Paging CAD - Amazon question

Has anyone ever had a package rerouted from Amazon? I ordered something that was estimated to arrive today. I go check the mail this evening and it isn't there. So I check the tracking again and it says:
Now I can't find anything on Amazon or the postal service about which address it was routed to.
More tracking details:
Which is also odd because I wasn't on my phone or computer at 9:54 this morning.

I have heard of scammers social engineering their way through Amazon customer service pretending to be someone else to get that person's package rerouted or reshipped. But in this case it seems like they'd have to have access to your account or otherwise know you ordered something. Is it valuable?
Also could just be a USPS mistake. Either way, if you don't get the package, Amazon is going to send you another one. Call them.

I'd call Amazon and see if they can help you out. It may have been a mistake on the USPS part, but somebody may have figured out your Amazon password and decided they needed your package more than you did.

Nothing valuable. A $10 led bulb. It is a red night light bulb for my daughters room.

The USPS is royally fricking up my Amazon Prime experience.
So far they are 0 for 5 on meeting the estimated shipping date.
FedEx is batting 1.000

Weird. I've had this because I accidentally used the wrong address on all my packages one Christmas. That was hell

Probably a mistake then. And for something like that, Amazon will send you another one overnight without blinking.

I'm on my phone so no chat. I did send an email to them. We'll see. It will probably show up tomorrow but who knows.

Here is their response.
I understand that you still haven't received the package for your orders. I realized how inconvenient this is for you so let me assist you with this.
To verify its status on your behalf, I tried to track your package. And after contacting the carrier, I've confirmed that it was shipped out late but it is now in transit to be delivered to you. I'm sorry about this delay.
Please do know that we never wanted to deliver your package late for we also understand that you needed it on that specific time given. However, please understand that some delays were also caused of some external factors and that no matter how much we try to avoid it, some still happen which is out of our hands.
But even this happens, I assure you that were here to back you up and ensure that you won't incur any loss.
In this case, don't worry, I've already contacted "USPS" to deliver this as soon as possible. So if it's not too much, kindly give it until 12:00 AM of January 17, 2015 which is the most I’ll ask you to wait for this package to arrive.
When your order does arrive, there's no need to contact us. However, if you haven't received it by 12:00 AM of January 17, 2015, please let us know through the link below and we'll be happy to get a refund or replacement for you.

As an apology for this delay, I've issued a $5.00 promotional certificate to your Amazon.com account, which will automatically apply the next time you order an eligible item sold and shipped by Amazon.com and doesn't require a claim code.
I'm really sorry if this additional step might cause you any inconvenience. I hope you'll understand that this will help us in assisting you more precisely.
Please be assured as well that I've forwarded this issue to our Shipping Department so this will be accounted for and investigated--I know they'll want to hear about your experience. It's always important for us to hear how customers react to all aspects of shopping at Amazon.com.
Strong customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the selection and service we provide.
Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

And I checked the tracking number again this morning and now it shows expected delivery on the 20th. So I'm probably going to end up with them shipping me a replacement, getting the original one late, and a $5 credit.
