Saw a patient puke something they had not eaten in 3 days while going under anesthesia. Ozempic is no joke. That shite will make your bowels lazy.

Idk. It's still relatively new. Haven't seen terrible outcomes. But seeing emesis that has rotted is never good

My boss, who is diabetic, said it's hard to get bc too many overweight people are taking it just to lose weight. He's more worried about not being able to take it for his diabetes.

This is True

Sounds like it was the Saxenda, not Ozempic that killed her.

So you’ve never struggled at creating a new habit? You’ve never wished you were more or less of something? No, not really. But perhaps I’m not as mentally weak as you.

That’s crazy, congrats on being perfect I guess

So you’ve never wished that you used your phone less, or spent more time with your kids, made more of an effort to connect with your wife, exercised even one time when you didn’t, wish that you didn’t bite your nails, or made your bed every morning? Kept your truck more clean.

Have you ever regretted anything? Like an interaction with a person, or a decision that you made? Maybe you wished you were diligent before your decision, or collected before your interaction, anything?

People do not have a problem at all losing weight. It’s the keeping it off that is the problem. 85% of people who lose weight gain it back, that is just a staggering statistic.

Great idea for them to take something that’ll cause gastroparesis and permanent shitting problems then right?

If they can’t keep it off they are mentally weak and not following the plan. Period

Yep, without drastic behavioral changes, "magic pills" only offer a temp benefit.

These people are going to have to change habits at some point

Mentally weak? Do you say the same thing about people battling depression? Just shake it off you are mentally weak, what about anxiety? ADD ? Those that are on vyvanse? Adderall? You are just mentally weak, just try harder to stay focused? Nutritional supplements?? Just work out a little harder

Well here’s the thing, if you were them you would do the same thing. If you had their constitution….
Ones ability to stick to a diet is inherent, so condemning someone for inability to stick to a diet is misguided, so is being proud of being “mentally strong” it’s 2 heads of the same coin. This is basically a free will argument at this point.

doctor took her off her diabetes medicine

News flash ozempic is diabetes medicine so she just changed which diabetes med she was on and typically these weight loss doses are massive compared to what’s being written to control blood sugar.

You would be surprised how many people don't understand, even after weight loss surgery, medication, or what not, if you don't change your eating habits, your doing it all for nothing.

I’m surprised how many people don’t understand the difference between between your and you’re.

We will start hearing about significant large intestine issues in time.

Know someone on Ozempic who had intestines stop breaking stuff down. Had to get a scope done
