BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge business owners, Wayne and Luci Stabiler, announced that they are giving their management teams full ownership of several restaurants in and near Baton Rouge. The donation makes the local workers full partners in their restaurants.

“We have been so blessed in so many ways and we wanted to share those blessings with the outstanding team of people that have worked so hard in our community for so long,” said Wayne Stabiler Jr. “Luci and I fully trust our legacy in the Baton Rouge restaurant scene to this group and feel that they have earned a chance to be able to work for themselves. We donated 100% ownership of the restaurants to them. We could not be any more excited for them.”

Pretty cool, interested to see how it pans out compared to something like an ESOP.

Good guys did good.

Sammy’s is making a comeback now and the Little Village in Airline is always packed it seems. I hope they continue to prosper.

How many Sammy’s locations are still open?

I know Zachary and Central have been gone for a while now.

Well he is a great dude and totally deserving of it. Kevin had a lot to do with the success of these places when they were under Stablier.

Kevin has earned it. Would think most would be very happy for him.

He’s been at it pretty hard in the industry for 35 or so years.

The ESOP I was part of was a clusterfrick. The only one who made money on that deal was the owner.

Dori and Leo are great, too. The three of them are at the top of the restaurant game in BR.

At at the little Village back just before Christmas with my mom and sister. Two of the three entrees were garbage.

The bread was really good though.
