What would you wear? Suit is out of the question. 90 degrees here and humid. Just going for graveside service.

May go to the home afterward if invited.

Slacks and a button up are the obvious choice. But colors?

Khaki with a dark mournful shirt?

Black slacks with a lighter colored shirt with black thin plaid print?

Johnny Cash?

I WANT khaki and a light shirt but don't want to be disrespectful.

What would the OT do?

I realize most of you would have personal stylist handle this, but I had to cut back and let mine go.

suck it up and wear a suit.

never wear a dark shirt, and definitely never wear a dark shirt with khakis.

if you absolutely can't wear a suit then wear some dark pants and a blue shirt.

Trash

Have some respect and wear a suit take the jacket off once you leave the grave site. I mean the longest you would be out there is 20 minutes max I am guessing never been to a Jewish funeral.

Suit is off the table. In this funerals pecking order I am a back of the crowd of mourners guy. If I were a seated mourner I would wear a suit. But I will be in the back trying to keep a 6 year old entertained. Seems like a waste of a dry cleaned suit.

Basketball jersey and gym shorts. It's not your fault they died in May.

And what does the dead being Jewish have to do with anything?

Well then, wear what you want then. I don't know why you're asking us. You might be better off volunteering to watch/entertain all the youngsters than go to the graveside.

In my experience, it is always better to be a little overdressed than a little underdressed. Unless you don't care.

Nothing. That I know of. Just wondering if it is a more "prim and proper" funeral than most? Also threw it out there to see any insight into length of the service at the graveside?
