Starting this week, they’re requiring masks.

They have attendants constantly wiping down carts, a structured line to enter, clear glass walls over each register, and limit entry to two people per membership. They also won’t let any of their associates come within 6 feet of a customer.

Is Costco doing it right, or are they overblowing it?

They're violating our inalienable, God-given right to spread pathogens.

What could possibly go wrong? Costco being too clean and sanitary?

If it bothers you that much, go to Wal Mart.

It will get more people back in their stores regardless of what the mouth breathers here say.

I think they are taking a calculated risk to give back confidence to a large portion of their clientele.

We know everyone here wants the old and sick to shelter in place but they need to shop too. They probably feel better going to Costco if they take it seriously.

People want things open. If you want things to open back up, then Costco is doing it right.

The complaining about wearing a cloth mask is about as Karen-level as the bitching about people wanting everything to stay closed.

There is nothing wrong with what they are doing. Seems smart to me. However I think it’s stupid to keep barber shops and hair salons closed. BTW is Home Depot and Lowe’s really an essential place to be open right now????????

Every business has a right to handle things how they see fit. Customers can make their own choices, too. There should be no right or wrong there. The government Forcing people and businesses to follow a mask policy is what’s fricked up.

Since I don't have a mask, I will not be going to Costco

Making workers wear mask all day is going to spread more germs. 99% of them are going to touch their masks constantly due to fogging glasses, being hot, customers not able to hear them speak. And then, they'll touch the products, registers, cash, etc.

everything is overblown but they are attempting to play the game and they are committed to doing things right as the govt has told them and public opinion has made companies do things. I don't fault them for that but all of this is unnecessary.

In my opinion, yes they are overblowing it.

But they are a private company and can run their business as they see fit.

I’m free to not go there and haven’t set foot in the place since this nonsense started. I certainly don’t intend to don a mask and start now.

The OT: let businesses open and do what they want!

Costco: does what they want

The OT: fricking fascists.

What do you think a cloth mask accomplishes? Psychological relief for hysterical idiots, that’s what. It’s amazing how many weak and intellectually lazy people will repeat whatever nonsense an authority figure tells them.

I'm not sure why they arbitrarily selected May 4th as their start date to require customers to wear masks, especially when the number of cases is on the decline. 7 + weeks go by without masks and now all of a sudden they want to do it? What do they know that we don't know? Nothing, but it is their business and they can do what they want. I'm a Costco member and I bought everything I needed or wanted before the 4th, as I won't wear a mask. My choice too, and they won't get my money anytime soon as long as they have this policy in place.

Anyone who has a toilet should already have a plunger.
