re: Out of all of the big stores, Costco is taking COVID the most seriously

Requiring a mask on the downside of a pandemic after not requiring one the whole time.
From a rational standpoint, it is incredibly stupid.
However from a business standpoint, it's smart....because the business is trying to attract irrational shoppers back.
Karen doesn't care about reason or rational thought. Karen cares about feeling safe. Costco is doing what it has to bring Karen back to spend her husband's money.

BTW is Home Depot and Lowe’s really an essential place to be open right now????????
They very much are essential due to all of the home repair products they sell. Water heaters, toilets, hvac filters, plumbing and electrical repair, etc. The problem is that they sell so much other shite that isn't essential that most people in there are buying, like flowerbed crap.

I realize PEEJ is a retard, but he certainly isn't the only poster that has brought it up
not to mention all the "Karens" on my neighborhood FB group

Is Costco doing it right, or are they overblowing it?
At my particular Costco, these measures are exactly what the majority of their clientele would want. At any given moment, 80% of the people in my neighborhood Costco are Asian. Where I live, that demographic is all about implementing precautions.
It also goes without saying that the parking lot is a constant shite show. Some stereotypes are real. Thank God Costco has generous parking spaces and striping.

I ain't wearing a mask so I ain't going to Costco.

That’s fine but let’s open other things up at a quicker pace. I don’t se any logical reason for salons to still be closed.

Logic has nothing to do with any of this.

Pretty sure it was to prevent people from buying up PPE early on that would've been used in hospitals. Plus, being in shelter-in-place/lockdowns really reduces the need for it.
Now we're opening things back up. Makes sense to take extra precautions.
Multiple studies have proven a cloth mask is better than nothing at all when used appropriately. Other countries who regularly deal with respiratory diseases other than the standard flu has been doing this for awhile. It's not hard to wear one (even over your nose) and to wash it regularly (buy or make a couple and it's really hardly an issue).
These guys were doing it in 1918. Cities during the second-wave required it. This isn't some new thing conjured up by Pelosi to take your rights away.

I agree and with all those people swarming wal marts and targets and such, what’s the difference in an eating place having people inside.....you telling me I can’t have a cookout at my house with say 25 people but wal mart can have 50 or so people crawling all over each other for a pair of fricking shoes???????

Based on the actual impact of this virus, not really.

Ha... I know a guy who used to own a vehicle repair shop that specialized in first responder type vehicles (police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, etc).
He used to say that, by far, the highest percentage of vehicles that needed body work, were from the substations in the Asian communities who were often driven by Asian employees.

I have no problem with this. Costco is awesome and a private business to boot.

Are they handing them out at the door? Because I don’t have any
Fortunately I don’t shop at Costco so it’s a non issue
