A lot of posters parents are divorced I see. Probably why they choose to life so far away. I hate to see broken families. Especially around the holidays

My parents have been married for almost 40 years. Sometimes children leave the nest BECAUSE they had such good parenting/support.

Too close. I might be moving soon (hopefully) and my dad said I couldn't live in the same city as my sites because he was legitimately terrified that my mother would move up to live closer to us and leave him alone.

My mom lives in Vegas and my dad lives in Montana. I'm in Baton Rouge, so a good ways. I don't spend the holidays with them anymore, so thankfully my husband's family is close.

I'm 2.8 miles from my parents and grandmother (she lives two streets over from my parents). The SO is 505.9 miles from his. Since we don't have kids yet we do our Christmas together and then he goes down to see his family and I stay here with mine (especially since we both have Grandparents well up in age).

Was 1100 miles until 2 weeks ago. Staying in grandpas house 300' (he passed) for the holidays until I figure out my next move

About 10 miles from my Mom. Dad is passed away. Mom is 79.
