So I don't really need to lose weight, but I downloaded this app out of curiosity to see how everything I eat adds up. My question is this - how do you guys keep track of everything? Like if I go eat at a restaurant, how do I determine how many calories the meal is? Google?

I use it for everything. It will make you think about that order of fries, the wings and the beer quickly.

Many restaurant meals are listed. If not, you have to dig around.

And if you are not under 5% bodyfat like the majority of the OT you do need to lose weight.

I use it too. It becomes a real pain in the arse when you have to enter your entire homemade sand which at home.

once you use a few weeks and you're used to logging the stuff you eat, you'll build up saved meals and custom foods that make it easy to log the stuff you prepare

I've been using this free app called "Lose It!". Basically it's allowing me to track my food and track my step count for the day with my iPhone. I like it. It accesses an online database which has about 90% of the foods I've been eating.

Trying to cut back 10 pounds before the holidays.

I count my calories but I write it all down in a notebook rather than in an app. I feel I take it more seriously that way for some reason

Yea. You can google that kind of thing. Restaurants can be VERY tricky b/c they put the shite outta unhealthy cream and oils in everything.

Like at Rum House. Those greens are so good sure. But I don't wanna know how much grease is in them.

My Fitpal will also sync with Map My Run/Ride even if on different devices FYI. That's pretty handy if you like to calculate that into daily needs and you run with a work phone and use myfitpal on personal for example.

I've since gone to S health on my Samsung instead of My Fit Pal.
Need to switch back.

myfitnesspal also syncs with all fitness trackers as well

Once you start using it you very quickly get used to tracking with it to where you don't even think twice about logging your meals on it.

I tried this for a day and stopped.

It's annoying and it's not like I'm preparing for a show. It's right up there with weighing your food...but to each their own.

I find it takes very little time or effort. I eat a lot of the same foods each day so I will usually spend a few minutes each day entering what I know I will eat that day.
