The biggest thing not mentioned so far is cns fatigue.
And what happened to doing starting strength? Why not switch to greyskull lp or mad cow/ texas method or 5/3/1?

Mike Mentzer promoted working out once per week. Once. And I'm not talking about hitting each body part 1x per week. Only 1 workout. You may go 20 days before another chest workout.
Less is more when working out. Diet and rest make the lifter, not hitting each BP 5x in a week.
If you don't like Max OT, try High Intensity Training the Mike Mentzer way.
Google the Boise Experiment if you want to see the training of 2 different guys and their transformation using Mentzer principles. I think each guy only lifted 9 total times in 60 days.
And how many steroids was Mike Mentzer taking?

Not to mention, he gained all that weight after he had gotten sick and lost all that muscle.
Best programs out there are greyskull, starting strength, 5/3/1, madcow, max ot, dc training, westside, phatt and other programs that focus on strength.
And hit the mike mentzer way sucks.

When I was in school we worked M-W-F bench, cleans, squats, DB press, and some variations with cardio on T-T. That was the best shape I've ever been in personally.

Wut
Is it that hard to comprehend?

Was the reason for this ^^^^
Not bc of the workout. For Each muscle group the ideal amount of recovery time is at least 2 days.
If you're going to work a muscle group 2Xs a week the best route is 1monday 2tueaday 3wedmesday (rest day can be Thursday or Sunday) repeat 1-3 the rest of the week pending on your rest day.
OP: Can you be in shape doing full body workouts? Of course. But don't pretend it's superior bc it's what you like doing the most.
