Some (not saying that poster) are brand whores and buy no matter of what it looks like just because it's a PP, AP, etc.

That guy is wearing a steel watch on a rubber strap and you think its brandwhoring because it costs a lot? To me, brandwhoring is all about making others realize you're rich. That watch won't do that unless you're in a room of investment bankers. Buying blindly for recognition is more of a Rolex phenomenon, and AP Offshores because those things are terrible.

Not at all, not calling him out in the least. It's an understated watch for Patek and very atypical of thier style. I was speaking in general saying it's a phenomenon that noticed on watch forums.

That isn't the type of watch to make the investment banker jealous, and it's OK because I'm sure that's wasn't his goal.

So all Rolexs are "terrible"?

Not quite champ

Style is subjective, to each thier own.

You like it because it's a Patek, if it looked identical but said Casio you would shite all over it and that's the truth.

I would shite all over it.....

Because I understand that with the brand comes the MOVEMENT. I understand the inner workings of the Patek vs the Casio

So I'm assuming you hold Casio and Patek on similar standards champ?

Quit trying so hard

Exactly my point, you like it because it's a says Patek and what you think is inside.

Goes back to my point of people buying ugly status watches.

Kids, this is what a big boy watch collection looks like. I am sure Broke will agree.

What is funny is the Patek that was posted is the ugliest watch in this thread, but worth 10 times more than any other.
