Was it a cop who hit him?

In any case, if he needs to be shot call a cop

Holy shite! I'm glad you found a vet. That dog was about to eat lead for dinner. Also, at naming your dog Curtis

Curtis > the OT

From one Catahoula owner to another, let me send my sincerest wishes of AIDS and Ebola to the dog-hating (probably cat-loving) taints in this thread

How do you know the car was going fast???

If speed was involved I would expect more than just a broken leg.

With it being just a broken leg sounds more like a slow roll over type accident for example like someone backing over him while he was lying down.

Ran over a Shi Tzu puppy one time. I stopped and the dude came out flipping out. Said that his wife made him promise not to let them get out. He wasn't pissed at me at all. I wonder if that marriage made it after that.

Yeah I was at WalMart when you stopped by,

I came close on the boat, I'm glad my buddy found those cracks by the motor.

You don't know how glad I am that you didn't have to shoot Curtis. Thank you for offering, there was no way I could do it

For anyone interested Curtis made it through the night, he has taken a little water but no food. I'm not sure how long it will be before this becomes a problem. For dog experts

is there something we

give him to keep him calm such as Benadryl?

Edit note: I will update on his progress regularly

Check with your vet about Ace. Don't know if it's appropriate for this situation but it's a sedative.

OP how would things have played out if the individual who hit your dog would have stopped? What if they were speeding? What if your dog caused damage to their vehicle?
