I also would like to try the Nissan on a track to see how manageable that power is.
Against what? because the Gt-R is hard to beat around a track.

can't believe no one has said the Hellcat
Hellcat is a muscle car. That being said its one of the fastest straight line cars available

Drove a guys tesla at a Christmas party I was at, thing is incredibly powerful. Has that throw you back in the seat feeling when doing 0-60

quote:Tracked mine in HPDE 1 twice before I went crazy and made a straight line car out of it. Puts the power down really well you can feel it helping you stay out of trouble even in R mode. Pulls like a beast out of the turns. Can feel the AWD doing work. The achilles heel of the car at the track is cooling. Oil and especially trans temps get up there quick. I let 2 instrcutors drive it (944 guys) and they were amazed and said it hides it's weight well. We took it out on runflats in HPDE with him driving and we were eating up track prepped 911's.
Man, I'm just not a fan of the Nissan's looks.

Tesla S is so fast it burns up the track. Check out this footage of the fire trail left behind. Tesla burning the road up in record time

That was what swayed me away from the new Z06, although they have all that cured now.

BMW 1M is a masterpiece. I find the 1M to be one of the best cars every to come out of Germany and I'm a Porsche guy. There are faster cars but none are more fun to drive. The 1M is perfect.

I would love to own a Z, either the current gen or the last.
A friend of mine owns one, they are fierce cars.

Anybody own or driven a Shelby 350?
From what I've heard, it sounds like a strong street and track car.
Car and Driver has this to say.

Its 5.2-liter V-8 makes 526 hp and 429 lb-ft. A six-speed manual is the sole transmission; a Torsen rear diff is also standard. Giant brakes yield eye-popping deceleration while magnetic ride control keeps handling and ride sharp yet civil. For the ultimate Stang, the GT350R drops weight by deleting the rear seats and has carbon-fiber wheels.

Have seen low mileage 2014 GTR's in the 68k range recently. Would take that all day, erryday over a Hellcat or Z06.
