Of course you freaking ask her parents man, wtf kinda man are you???

I wouldn't want this.

Plus, my mother has the biggest mouth of any human being I know - combined with me being way too good at figuring shite out. I'd know and that would ruin any element of surprise that might exist.

My parents have a set amount of money put aside for my brother and I to each do what we wish. He just bought his first home with it.

My parents wouldn't want to be asked "permission" either. They would tell my SO that I am an adult who can make my own decisions and probably also that he waited too long As I said, though... My mother would let it out to me within a day or two and it would be ruined.

I want a moissanite ring, which is very inexpensive. That's not why I want it. I just think they're nice

You don't ask permission from the parents, you ask for the blessing. Are you one of those girls who won't let her dad walk her down the aisle cause its oppressing?

I want both of my parents to walk me down the aisle because I hate people looking at me and the more, the merrier.

I took to a secluded beach outside of Santa Cruz for a picnic. I had a bottle of champagne hidden in the bottom of the ice chest...after lunch we took a walk down the beach and up a huge rock, that I discovered previously had a room carved into the front for what I assume was a primitively light house. Once we got up there and checked out the views a bit I got on a knee and asked her. She cried, said yes, and then we went back down and drank the champagne.
