So very early into our vacation, I sat in a swing that fell. Thankfully my legs weren't under it but a few days before I'd had injections into a part of my lower back. The Dr told me nothing strenuous for about the first week.

Also, I'd had a torn disc in my back that starting easing off but after that fall has started bothering me again.

The property owner has been very accommodating in his offer of assistance. My vacation was basically ruined since I was in so much pain the whole week and I'm back to square one with my back.

I have an appointment with my Dr this week but should I talk to a lawyer?

TIA

Sounds like you shouldn't have been fricking around on a swing in the first place.

I dunno, but I know you shouldn't seek legal advice from these people.

Sometimes adults shouldn't be on kids playground equipment.

ETA: no I don't think they'll sure you for damaging their equipment.

Just deal with it and stop trying to sue everyone. You're what's wrong with America.

Dude, it was a bench swing like the kind your MawMaw has on her front porch.

You're a fricking retard for not checking it out first. I don't randomly sit on a swing, like some fat, dumb, and happy jackass.

Know how I know you've never dealt with 24/7 back pain?

I did, it looked fine. The eyebolt pulled out of the rafter.

This. Unless the property owner was extremely grossly negligent then just chalk it up to that's sucks and move on.

How did the swing fall, the chains popped or the eye bolt up top pulled out? Just curious.

I rarely take my pain meds. They make the pain stop but generally make me feel like crap.

How people take opiods for shits and grins is beyond me.

Was this a privately owned home you rented? Did you sign any paperwork prior to arrival?

Privately owned.

Just the normal agreements you get on VRBO.

oh man sounds like the property owner must have been extremely negligent, borderline criminal for not knowing that eyebolt would come out when your overweight arse went swinging.

Quit being sue happy

And yes I deal with back pain and have over a decade. Debilitating at times.

Fat boy wants to sue a private owner of a place he booked himself. Loser.
