This is probably true. I don't work with very many problem clients (Thank God).
But whenever you think about life outside law, consider HR. Consider standard interview questions for HR in large companies. "Is it right or wrong to take money you see laying on a coworker's desk?"
They have that question because people get that shite wrong. For some people who get it right, it's probably a tough call. Some of those people get hired. You'll be colleagues with some of those people.
The world is full of morons, and a lot of them work for large companies that are a slight step above government agencies in horrific bureaucracy and stupidity. That is life for a lot of your non-lawyer friends. So yeah, the law isn't all that bad.

You know what disgusts me?
Doctors who frick up a patient's life by giving an incorrect dosage of anesthesia and act like a lawyer is the bad guy for trying to get money for said patient or said patient's family.
Med Mal works both ways. I hear you loud and clear and much has been done to address the abundance of medical malpractice cases. For instance, Louisiana has a cap on damages payable by the doctor. But the truth is, medical procedures are dangerous, doctors sometimes screw up, and when they screw up, it has dramatic consequences on their patients' lives.

I know what you're saying, it just hasn't been the case for me. Mainly representing small to medium businesses and insurers, I certainly deal with the occasional narcissist, but usually it's not a problem.

I think most lawyers do at some point in their career and all face the same problem with transferring to something else. A law degree is not as marketable as one might be led to believe.
