Aren't lights on timers? If so wouldn't DOTD know the color of the light

Very simplistic question, but if they can be reset on a timer wouldn't they figure out the light color?

Interesting train of thought. Now if we only knew the exact time of the accident......

First, get the police report. See what the investigating officer says in his report. Your best bet is to try to see if there are any cameras set at the intersection, and get the video checked.

But all that being said, if it's a tie, and no one can determine the light at the time, and no video, and cop makes report as neutral to both, I would argue that if your wife was hit in middle to rear, your wife was mostly through the intersection, and the other driver had more of an opportunity to react and avoid the accident.

Bull fricking shite. Just spent the weekend with two Senior Claims Adjusters. One from AllState and one from State Farm. We discussed this very thing and they stated outright that the aggressive plaintiffs attorneys and liberal court system in LA absolutely contribute as a primary cause to our outrageous rates.

See a lawyer. He will get the cars black boxes. Yes they have them.

Most want some kind of money upfront.
