Place looks pretty amazing. Wish it was in Pensacola area instead of Tampa.

Ironically that is how I found out about this place. Driving to Bradenton. It's actually in the middle of absolute nowhere.

If that's in Hardee County, that is most definitely a reconstituted landfill.

Mosaic turned an old phosphate mine into two golf courses. They have to reclaim the land once a mine closes. They normally just turn it into a wildlife habitat but they took this to another level.

Will you just use the fricking quote function accurately?

Also, where exactly is this? That is a made up city name.

Then why the f*ck did you click on a topic clearly labeled for OT Golfers?
Sarcasm man, I play all the time. I just find it funny that" the trashiest state in the US" is also the golf capital of the world.

It's definitely worth it occasionally. A nice and well maintained course is just amazing.

The dunes are made from sand. The first 40 feet of the mine is overburden until the get to the phosphate rock ore so they used the sand from the overburden to make the dunes. The gypsum is the byproduct of phosphoric acid production which is the large stacks you see around central and in Convent, LA

Let me get this straight. You berate me for not using the fricking quote function accurately.
But you can't seem to use fricking Google maps accurately? Or could it possibly be that you are just too fricking lazy? Which is it?
To answer your question it's literally in the middle of nowhere. The nearest town would be Ft. Meade.
