i'm not discounting ideas like Strain Theory, but moderation is the key
the problem is that modern progressivism is completely structured on the idea of a dominant class oppressing a marginalized class that any discussion outside of this paradigm is dismissed
also the attack on science that may contradict this paradigm, mainly by assigning negative traits to a marginalized group, is complete bullshite. i love nothing more than a "the science on AGW is settled" liberal dismissing other studies/data they don't like because it doesn't fit with their worldview

I'm not defending anyone who is against those ideas, just saying what the word means. If someone opposes free speech then they aren't liberal and we need to stop letting them share that adjective.

Much like how it's fine to admit blacks are better athletes because of heredity/biology, but don't even think about any links to intelligence/ IQ

IQ in general, ignoring any racial division, is a nuclear-level hot potato
it basically segregates the potential of the population and that's something that doesn't fit into their world view
you can avoid the racial issues and discuss issues about sex. the median for men/women is about the same but men are MUCH more polar in their IQ distribution. so more brilliant thinkers are men and more heathens are men, explaining differences in things like scientific/philosophical output as well as crime OUTSIDE of a social lens. that is heresy for the progressive, because men produce more peak-level thinking due to misogyny and the anti-woman society they've built and men commit more crimes b/c of toxic masculinity that reinforces these societies
