It's not about what the words mean, it's about labeling the other team so you don't have to think about issues. You can just pull for your team to win and there's no need to consider things, it's pretty convenient.

lol

Progressivism has never been about new ideas. It's about control. Liberals and progressives are very different in this regard.

Mitch is smart. He's just pandering to the idiots, which make up the majority of his voting base.

And sadly, the majority of the country's voting base.

Well if they don't fit the definition, then I guess they're not liberals, by definition.

look, i'm pretty anti-cop, not on an individual level but on a systematic level. LEO are just tools of the authoritarian governments that have emerged since the War on Drugs started in the 70s. the system has bent over backwards, from the legislative, to the executive and even to the Supreme Court, to erode our individual rights and swing the balance of power overly to the government. that's what authoritarian governments do

but

these BLM/NJNP maniacs want to further eliminate our liberties by eroding due process rights. they just want to erode the due process rights of LEOs and think that's fair. the issue is that we can't just single these people out as they are citizens. if we lower DP rights, those regulations will have to be general. the irony is that the populations hurt most by these proposed changes are the very groups they claim to defend.

indirect ad hom attacks. brilliant

just so we're clear, "progressivism" in this context is a desire to force societal change through governmental policy. today, it's largely based in Cultural Marxism under the guise of various areas of intersectionalism

saying "progressivism" doesn't mean a general desire for progress. it has a certain connotation

i hope you can agree with those definitions but i'm willing to hear your input. we can't have a discussion without an understanding of the words being used

Cultural Marxism

Isn't that just a scare word people use to get a rise out of social conservatives? I've read the communist manifesto and I don't recall any talk about trannies or dragonkin.

I was disappointed when that link didn't lead to a tool song. Missed opportunity in my opinion.

I can do my own research but I've always dismissed the term as some Coulter-esque buzzword.

But I respect your opinion, it's something I should look into?
