I bathe mine about once a month. I've always that frequent bathing can lead to dry skin for a dog?

Oh gotcha. My sons dog had a rash for about 6 months, vet says basically trial and error with every part of their diet, shampoos, etc etc. Gotta be methodical and patient to figure it out.

Wife(no pics) actually used coconut oil which is anti fungal and anti bacteria on our lab who had some skin issues and ear fungus issues, just rubbed her down with it. Worked really well. Also started a grain free dog food with fish oil supplements.

This was unrefined extra virgin coconut oil you can get from Walmart, I think it was actually the GV brand.

We have two beagles that had dry skin. Now we give them fish oil every day and sometimes a tbsp. of olive oil on their food. Cleared up after a few weeks.

My lab had dry skin. Switched to grain free food with Omega 3 and started giving her filtered water, it cleared it up after a month. My vet was adamant it was a food allergy and he was right.

If you bathe your dog a lot they develop dry skin. Tea tree oil shampoo is very good. Petsmart has it.
