It's pretty good. I furminate my mutt(lab/husky/??) pretty often because he SHEDS. Didn't think it could get worse than the border collie, but it is.

I love when he boards and they hit him with the furminator really good. He doesn't shed at all for a few days.

I've taken it a step further. I put the brush attachment on my vacuum and use it on my dog once a day. You have to stop every now and then to get the hair out of the bristles. I've been doing it daily for about 2 months now. Works great and didn't cost me anything

I took a dust buster to my horse last winter. We had a show coming up and it was too cold to bathe him, so I didn't know what else to do. He was filthy! Everyone figured he'd not take it too well, but he didn't care at all.

A) "Not shedding" and "hypoallergenic" are not the same thing.
B) There is no such thing as a 100% hypoallergenic dog.
C) Furminator does work well although $$$.

I have a yellow lab and it's amazing how much hair comes off when using the furminator. However it doesn't totally eliminate the problem.

It is a legit hair remover. However, it won't stop shedding. It just helps keep loose hair controlled. We've had one now for a couple of years and we have a border collie/beagle mix and she sheds like a banshee.

It expensive as fek. Worth it?

WAYYY cheaper on Amazon or other sites.

DO NOT get at Petsmart or Petco.

And yes, it works great. I have a long haired golden doodle. He sheds a little, not horribly, but it helps a ton.

I use the Shedmonster. Got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It works really well.

Golden and labradoodles will shed if there is not enough "poodle" in the family tree. Great dogs though , just try to get one that looks more like a poodle

Ours looks like this:

But he definitely sheds. He's an F1, meaning his parents were poodle and golden, but he definitely has more golden in him. A friend got his sister and she is much more like a poodle and sheds less.

True.

We have also helped his shedding/dander a bit by switching to grain-free food and putting a couple squirts of this on his morning meal. Its really cheap on Amazon and lasts for a long time:
