My dentist offers NO2 but I don't like the feeling when I'm in the dentist chair. Now back in the day after some heady Trey jams I'd huff the shite out of it.

How does using something that is completely safe that the patient chooses make me a quack? The practice existed for 30 years before I got there, and patients were well accustomed to it. I use it myself when I have work done. You're funny.

Nitrous is for partying, not for medical use.

...and kids especially love it. On most primary teeth, I could do fillings with only nitrous and eliminate the need for an injection. A lot of people like to have the nitrous just for the injection, then they are good.

Then why are you bitching? I've had patients who told me they avoided the dentist their whole lives and suffered as a result - yet never had nitrous offered. Once they experienced it they practically enjoyed their visits. I would say any dentist who doesn't offer it is a quack.

If my palate needs to be injected, I want nitrous and if possible can turn off the oxygen for a few minutes!!!
