What happens to those born before Jesus or live where they have no knowledge of him?
Why are Jews important to evangelicals if most believe are going to hell.
Why do some or most denominations not accept the views as others ore believe they are not saved.
Why do Christians feel need to "witness" to others.
Why did some churches in the south segregate well into the 1970s
Why do some say others are going to hell for their beliefs, yet subscribe to scripture concerning judging others.

Where does it say this in the Bible?

Where does Jesus say you come to the Father through Him here on Earth?

IMO, this issue is like a three dimensional problem we are looking at through two dimensional lenses.

I believe there is WAY more to what Jesus taught than we have gleaned through the 2+ thousand years we've studied Him.

I know one thing.

This world doesn't make a lick of sense.

If God has a plan, it's a shite one.
I'd take more comfort if he was just a cold, cruel bastard.

Honestly I think if we could go back in time and understand his language and listen to Jesus preach, we'd come away impressed with his charisma but disappointed with the message. I think its likely he was one of many people in that place and time claiming to be messiah, and his main goal was not to start a new religion but to purge the corrupt Jewish temple and ultimately throw off the roman yoke.

Talk about a random thing to make an issue of. I know a Church of Christ guy and they're serious as shite about it.

Bc my wife likes to go and the church has daycare for the kids. I don't listen to the service but I do read the bible at that time.

Raised Lutheran by my mom. Dad was atheist.

As I got older and began to think and question things, the idea of religion became silly. Science makes more sense, actually all sense, and it's in science I appreciate the world.

Pretty full blown atheist, as is my wife, though we don't judge others who are Christian. Two of our very good friends are devout Catholics and they try to get us to go to church, but we always politely refuse.

I am very knowledgeable of the bible and love to discuss it with those who are Christian. 99% of the time debates end in a friendly and civil way.

All the time I've spent in church. All the time I've spent praying. Not once did I ever feel anything. Just not for me.

Still, I live my life as best I can, and feel if one needs an imaginary father figure watching over them to be a good person, then they clearly are not a good person.

Why does God allow some religion threads to live, and others to die in infancy?

I find the Methodists to be a lot more mild mannered than Baptists, thus the bullshite is more tolerable. If I had been raised Methodist instead of Baptist, I may not have soured so much on religion and perhaps would have stuck around.
