Thanks to these threads a couple weeks ago, I booked a flight to Anchorage for $310 next month. Random bucket list trip with my dad

Google flights is my go to, really easy to type in msy and sea for those dates. The only airline it doesn't include is southwest, but their site is also easy to use.
July 5th is one of the most expensive days to travel, everyones trying to get home from a few days off. We'll find something reasonable for those dates, don't you worry.

If you can leave tuesday night 4/26, there's one-way fare for $112 on southwest (8:05pm-11:45pm). If you could leave saturday night at 6pm one-way MSY-DEN is $198 on southwest. Sunday it's $260 for a one-way on american, next cheapest day is tuesday 5/3 ($139)
Total is $310, which isn't great but it's better than leaving wednesday or thursday (~$450-$500 range)
