2016 Jaguar F-Type

Pretty good left front damage, just wondering what it would take to make it decent.

Track car, not for resell.

Kinda thinking upper and lower control arms, tire, rim, shock, whatever computer stuff is on the corner, front end alignment, headlights, bumper cover, etc.

I can see the tape being a benefit, though.

I wonder what this person hit. It is missing the hub/knuckle.

They need better pictures.. possibly from underneath to check frame.

You'd be very lucky to ever get the wheels aligned correctly.

Any to straighten that out?

I would be nervous about any engine damage and any kind of damage to the systems that accompany the front end damage.

That's what makes it attractive, in this case.

I'd never put it on the road-would just make it a track car.

Right now, it's at 22 with fees. If it would only take another 10-12 to put it up on it's feet, that's not terrible.

I am ascared of the parts cost, though...

True. It will need motor mounts, from the sudden impact.

Should be able to start it up and hear it run, at least.

Not a body expert, but that doesn't look like serious damage to me. Wishbones don't even appear damaged much, and looking at the inside bottom of the inner wheel well, everything looks straight and un-distorted.

Kind of looks like the spindle just sheared right off.

What scares me with a lot of this stuff now and even with what my company builds is that a lot of the electronic parts require flashing from a cert. dealer/mechanic and that shite can add up rather quickly.

Plus if anything went through to the engine compartment it could be a serious issue.

If you can do this then it sweetens it a little bit. Without engine damage you would get a hell of a car for a fraction of the normal cost.

yep. if the damage was even under 20k, the insurance company would have tried to fix it, hell maybe even close to 30k and they would fix it. Those new Jaguars run in the 75k range?

If I had to guess, the whole front suspension is gone, part of the motor, frame and a good bit of the front body. If the frame is bent, you won't get it aligned for shite. If the suspension is gone then you would have to replace all of that.

Ok I don't see a lot of structural damage, what I do see is the entire left side suspension, possible core support and related area damage, and cosmetics. I don't know where the electronics are in these but you are 50/50 being ok there, as a track car I'd jump on it as long as it stayed 30k or less. jmo

Yeah, that's a base model six, so you get those for around 65-68.
